Nikolay Cheremisin
(also written Mykola Cheremisin; Ukrainian: Микола Черемісін; Russian: Николай Черемисин).
I advise business co-owners on partnership matters. I live in Valencia, Spain. A citizen of Ukraine. I speak Russian, Ukrainian, English and Spanish.
I drafted and signed my own first partnership agreement in 2016. I came to this field through almost 10 years of corporate career and my own experience in 4 joint businesses. The path that shaped my expertise in partnerships.
Partnership management practice:
- Since 2016 I have run 80+ partnership sessions, 400+ consultations, and resolved 20+ conflicts between co-owners (as of July 2026).
- Harvard Business School — “Mastery of Negotiation”: the negotiation methodology behind my work between partners.
- Founder of Cheremisin Partnership Lab — a consulting practice in the field of business partnerships.
Management path (2001–2010):
I went from an economist at a foreign-trade company to first deputy chairman of the board of a metallurgical plant — experience in aligning interests at the level of the board of directors and owners, from which grew my understanding of how partners negotiate power and control.
Executive positions at industrial enterprises:
- Vtortsvetmet, AZOCM
- Dniprospetsstal
- Donetsk Aluminium Profiles Plant
- Artemovsk Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant.
Partnership experience in business:
- Managing partner, Richfield Industries Inc., Toronto, Canada — wholesale trade in non-ferrous metals (since 2010, active)
- Partner, Uranium Industries — mining (closed)
- Co-founder, Cordon Tech — door lock manufacturing (2018–2020, closed)
- Co-founder, Flid, Warsaw — wholesale fresh fruit and vegetables (since 2019, active)
My track record:
- Combined turnover of joint businesses — $385M over 16 years
- Grew my stake in the main partnership from 5% to 50%
- 4 businesses in partnership: 2 successful, 2 not — and it was the failed partnerships that taught me what now helps clients avoid the same mistakes.
What else shaped my approach:
- Civil and Political School (CAPS) — understanding the balance of interests, checks and balances at the level of the state
- “Chorny Kvadrat” acting school — the skill of holding an audience and leading a hard conversation under pressure, which I apply in negotiations between partners
- IRONMAN 140.6 full distance (Emilia-Romagna, 2019) — discipline and endurance in long projects.
